note imageAlways start your warm ups with a physical activity like stretching or flexing and relaxing different muscle groups.  Remember, singing as an athletic use of your voice.  You need to get your whole body involved. 
note imageRemember to do breathing exercises that challenge the diaphragm.  Try shooting out rapid bursts of air on an f, th, t, s, ch consonants.  Keep your hands on your stomach to feel it go in as the diaphragm relaxes to push air out and move out as the diaphragm contracts to draw air into the lungs.  Do this rapidly, daily and you will really feel your diaphragm strengthen.
