ORLANDO 2007 |
In April 2007, Crater DECA sent six competitors to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, Florida. While no competitor advanced beyond the first round of competition, it was still one of the greatest years in Crater DECA's proud history. Zachary Miller, Brandon Beall, Levi Mondry, and Ian Gressett all competed in individual events. Jonathan Grether and Ruben Perez paired up for a team event. Randi Salyer and Jill Jacobs accompanied the group and attended a leadership conference.
Overall, the experience left a lasting memory on all those who were fortunate enough to advance that far. It just goes to show, that a little hard work and a lot fun can go a long way in achieving goals!

Crater's DECA crew once again proved their worth by trading blows with the powerful KU team. Results include: Jill Jacob's 2nd Overall in Apparel and Accessories Marketing, Zach Miller's 3rd Overall in Business Services Marketing, Ruben Perez's 2nd Overall in Sports and Entertainment Marketing, and Crystal Stewart's 2nd along with Brandon Beall's 1st overall in Marketing Management. Other winners included Brittany Weston's 3rd in SEM testing and Ian Gressett's 2nd in MM testing. With State less than two weeks away, Crater DECA is excited about bringing home a state championship or two!
