Announcements/Community Service Opportunities

International Club students will be doing various activities the week of May 5-9 for child soldiers in Uganda.

  • Students will be wearing white t-shirts with a big red 'x' on them all week to raise awareness.
  • There will be a viewing of Invisible Children one day after school.
  • there will (hopefully!) be a 5 mile walk on May 9 after school.
  • If any of your students would like to be involved in the planning, meetigs are Tues and Fri at lunch in Room 50. Also, any and all students are invited to the events. More details to come...

COMMUNITY SERVICE opportunity for any and all students and the weekend of May 17-18.

  • Chamber Latino Network is raising money for Latino scholarships and will be selling hot dogs at 3 different Safeway locations Sat and Sun
  • Students looking to get community service hours and/or for college resumes should sign up.
  • Details on the board outside ELL Room and the sign up sheet is with Scott!

Anjay Meyer from the DSASO Down Syndrome Association is looking for volunteesr to help us make a lot of toilet paper flowers for a float in the 4th of July parade in Central Point

  • Decorate the float on June 28, 2008. Time not known yet /

Senior Announcement
Please remember you must be on time and in attendance for the entire graduation practice next Monday and Tuesday, at 9:00 in the gym, to participate in the graduation ceremony.  If you are sick, show up sick.  Work is not a satisfactory reason to miss practice.  Make plans now! 

 Graduation practice has no scheduled ending time, so don’t plan on leaving for work until we are done.  Show up prepared to listen to instructions and follow directions.  The sooner you successfully practice the entire ceremony, the sooner you will released.
