Current Teaching Assignment
I teach Spanish I, II, III and IV in Crater's School of Business, Innovation and Science. Please visit the link to the left associated with your class for more information and the daily agenda.
Education
I graduated from Yreka High School and went on to study both Spanish Education and Liberal Studies Elementary Education at Humboldt State University. During my tenure at HSU, I spend a year studying and living abroad in South America. While in Chile, I studied at the Universidad Andres Bello in Santiago for a semester and then moved north to study at the Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial in Quito, Ecuador for the second half of the school year. After graduating from HSU in 2004, I attended Chico State University to obtain my teaching credentials. I became licensed in Spanish, English, ESOL, and Bilingual single subjects as well as general multiple subjects.
About Me
My favorite summer job of all time was working as a wildland firefighter for eight years during and after college. I worked as a heli-rappeller, fire engine assistant, and hand crew member. I loved my time in fire but it was a hobby rather than a career for me.
My hobbies include spending time with my husband Eric and my chocolate lab Hazel, numerous outdoor activities, traveling, reading, and learning. I love my job and my life ~ how could it be better?
